Here’s what some recent students are saying about the
Teaching and Leading certificate course:

“This class has been challenging in a good way. It has caused me to examine my heart, deepen my understanding of music, strengthen my writing and social skills, test my patience through the time consuming task of the final project, exercise my steadfastness, and boost my confidence to teach and lead. I’m grateful for this opportunity and the support of Dr. Mindy Seta and my classmates.”

“Listening to diverse opinions on the material covered in the course. Following Dr. Mindy's instructions and advice on becoming a better dance leader. Under her excellent tutelage, I learned many valuable things even after many years of experience. It was certainly a worthwhile course of study.”

"It was a wonderful class. The teaching was excellent and so full of love and encouragement, The fellowship with the other women and supporting and encouraging one another. Gave us a solid foundation for going forward to teaching and leading in Dance Ministry."

“There are so many reasons that I enjoyed this class. I learned so much from Dr. Mindy about dance itself, leading and teaching dance with love, and enjoyed the fellowship of other sisters who also were learning about leading in Messianic dance. I appreciated the readings which widened my view of the history and progression of dance in the church through the ages. I loved the supportive environment that was created as we all presented our efforts and final projects. I love that I now have a whole new library of dances from my fellow classmates. I feel that this was a springboard for what is yet to come in the Kingdom! Thank you, Dr. Mindy and my dear sisters."

“Deeper knowledge and understanding of how to choreograph and how to listen for the beats and breakdown of the music to create a dance to it. Fellowship with other like-minded believers who love the LORD and love to worship through dance.”

“I believe that anyone, either novice or experienced, could benefit from the teaching of Dr. Mindy, delving into the various authors' works we were asked to study and comment on. Stretching ourselves, to express our own feelings on the content of the works, and as a choreographer and instructor of our own original piece of dance Worship.”

Messianic Dance Course Structure:

Curriculum

Dance Techniques: Classes would focus on various Messianic and Israeli folk dance techniques.

Cultural Context: This course will educate students on the historical and cultural significance of Messianic dance, including its evolution from traditional Jewish dances to contemporary Messianic forms.

Choreography: Training in creating new dances, understanding dance notation, and learning how to teach dances to others.

Music and Songs: Understanding the music accompanying these dances, often involving Hebrew songs, klezmer, and other relevant musical styles.

Certificate Course Includes

Basic: Introduction to Messianic dance, basic steps, and some cultural background.

Intermediate: More complex dances, understanding of choreography, and basic teaching and leading skills.

Advanced: Deep dive into composition, history, and advanced teaching methodologies, including instruction to teach others or choreograph new dances.

Duration

The program consists of twelve workshops over three months to earn a certificate, with the next course commencing at the end of October 2025.

Implementation

Online Courses: Given the global interest in Messianic dance, the Zoom online platform offers courses with video tutorials, live sessions via Zoom, and interactive feedback sessions.

Benefits

Cultural Connection: Through dance, participants would gain a deeper connection to Israeli culture, history, and Jewish identity.

Teaching Opportunities: Dancers would be equipped to lead dance groups, teach at dance camps and religious conferences, or even start their recognized dance classes.

Professional Development

Networking: Interaction with other dance professionals, choreographers, and cultural figures.

Performance: Opportunities to perform at various cultural events, possibly leading to events with religious organizations.

Personal & Spiritual Growth

Physical Fitness: Dancing promotes health, coordination, and stamina.

Mental Well-being: Engaging in dance can be therapeutic and community-building.

Competent Minister: Yeshua invites us to become His disciples by understanding and following His Word.

Global Exposure: Israeli-style Messianic dance is popular worldwide, so receiving a certificate from M.D.C.I. could open doors to participate in international dance camps, workshops, and spiritual programs.

Certificate Process

Examinations: Practical exams where candidates perform dances, teach a class, or choreograph a piece.

Portfolio: A collection of work showing choreography, teaching plans, or cultural projects.

Community Service: Some programs might require participants to teach or perform in community settings as part of the certification.

By integrating these elements and a commitment to excellence, a Messianic dance certificate program would educate participants in dance while cultivating a deep appreciation for Israeli cultural heritage and equipping them with practical skills for personal and professional growth.

Requirements

Attendance: Starting on October 28th, classes will take place on Tuesdays. Students must be able to attend the live Zoom meetings and have the necessary equipment, including Zoom capabilities.
